About the project
UX for the AI era.
UserExperience.org makes design research easier to use when working with AI, and when designing products that use AI.
A field guide for real decisions
The guides connect principles, interface patterns, and AI workflows to choices a designer has to make. Each one explains the idea, shows an original UI example, and gives you something to try.
The articles document design work and small studies. The podcast brings in other designers, researchers, and builders.
How the guides are edited
We link to original research and official standards when they exist. A finding, an interpretation, and a practical suggestion are different things, so the writing keeps them distinct. When a study has limits, the guide should say what they are.
The examples are drawn for this site. They focus on one decision at a time, so you can see what a principle changes in an interface.
Who is behind it
I'm Olivier Vroom, a UX designer and host of the UserExperience.org podcast. I started this version of the site after finding it hard to steer an AI agent toward a visual result through text alone.
My aim is to make useful UX knowledge easier to find, test, and apply. The work should improve when other people challenge an example, point out a missing source, or share a better one.

Send a correction, a source, or a clearer UI example. Each suggestion is reviewed before a guide changes.
